When dropshipping from China, how do you get past the outrageous shipping costs? I'm just starting to get involved with dropshipping and ecommerce, but shipping from china is ridiculous, and I see competitors offereing FREE shipping on all of their products! How do I go about finding, or creating deals like this? Am I supposed to just eat the shipping cost even when it's 40% of the product price? Any tips would be GREATLY appreciated.

Can dropshipping transform your customer into your competitor? I find a great supplier in a remote country. He provide very good prices. I want to resell its product to customers. The problem is that the supplier could add an advertisement about his company in the package of my customer. And if the customer see the price I paid for the product, he culd order the same product to my supplier and resell it and become my competitor. Because of that fear, I don't know if I should do dropshipping, or buy many products and keep them at home, to resell later. The benefit of dropshipping is that I pay less shipping (because for 1 customer, there is 1 shipment from supplier to customer, instead of 2 shipments if it goes through me). Also, if 1 product is shipped by dropshipping to the customer and it's written "gift", then the customer don't have to pay taxes. While if I receive several products from the supplier, I will have to pay taxes. So what do you think is the best? the supplier should send it to the customer directly or ship many items to me?

Dropshipping, selling stuff online...? I want to sell stuff online on my own website by dropshipping. From what i understand, dropshipping works like this: you get a contract from a company, and when you sell something of theirs on your site they will send it to the person and give you like 10% of the profit or whatever amount you agreed on. So, is this how it works? If so, how would i get a contract or whatever it is i need from the company and how do i find companies that dropship? How would i start this? Im completely lost. So if I set this store up now, my orders will be delivered to me, then I will send out to the customer.
