Where do wholesalers buy there inventory?
I'm specifically interested in electronics wholesalers. Where do they buy from? Is it manufacturers? If so what about xbox 360, for example. Where do they buy them cheap enough to sell so cheap? Do they buy from Microsoft? Or do they buy from distributers? How do Wholesalers operate?

- They buy them from manufacturers and/or distributors. You can contact the manufacturer and just ask. They will tell you.
- I am interested in this as well... not electronics though... i was researching some ribbons and homecoming mum supplies (football stuff)..... please contact me if you figure it out... i imagine there is some connection to china
- You will need to contact the sales department of that company and tell them you are a wholesaler and you want to buy in bulk and resale. You need a license, credit and references to be a retailer. if you have those 3 things your good. But every company is different so ask the company
- Contact the manufacturer directly and tell them the product yu are interested in and who their distributors are for that particular product. Once you have that info you can contact the distributors sales department and they will ask you for your Tax ID # and the location of your business and they will then either mail out a catalog or send out a sales rep to get you started. Unfortunately if you do not have a legit business setup, then they will not divulge any of this info.
- This will sound a little off the norm but talk to bankers. They know businesses that are failing, these people often end up selling off inventory at huge discounts. You can also keep an eye on the federal court bankruptcy filings in your area.
