I want to start my own Ebay business, I am based in UK,?

Has anyone else recently started out an Ebay business lately based in UK? If so could you please give me some genuine advise on the best wholesalers etc. I am interested in selling nursery/maternity items. I have noticed there are alot of foreign wholesale, are these worth using or should I keep within the UK? Any good tips would be most appreciated.
