Trying to open a small business Looking for wholesalers?

I have been very interested in opening a small business in my town for a while now but every time I try to find wholesalers to supply items all I find is people wanting to make money to tell me the addresses or any contact info. Does anyone know how to get the info needed to open a small biz?

1. Pick an item you wish to sell and contact the company that makes it. Tell them you wish to carry their product and they will tell you how to find a wholesaler. The wholesaler will tell you what products they carry besides the one item. Repeat with a couple of widely different products and you should find a couple of wholesalers.
2. i have owned a couple of business over the years, just get a phone book from the nearest large city, look for the type of items you might like to sell,look under that heading (like gifts)then look for the heading wholesale(like gifts,wholesale)contact the wholesaler ask about min.orders, and if you need a tax resale number. to purchase, the can tell you how to file,most states its th county building. and a small fee. well thats it in a nutshell. good luck, let me know how it goes.
