Where and what is the best way to buy from wholesalers or directly from the manufactures? Business License?

I am looking into getting a business license and trying to start up my own small little company. So far my searches online have only provided minimal results. Some manufactures allow you to buy directly but many do not. A lot of websites I have found also are third party wholesale not direct wholesale. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mainly for electronics. Camera's, Computers, Stereo equipment and such.
