Online store with no dropshipping?
I am starting an online store, my suppliers don't have dropshipping yet, they will this summer. So if I set this store up now, my orders will be delivered to me, then I will send out to the customer. Do you think I should wait till they get dropshipping? or have the orders sent to me and I ship the orders to the customer? I'm worried that If I ship, the cost of shipping will break me. I don't want to charge twice for shipping charges.

- You are right, the cost of shipping can cost as much as some of the merchandise ordered. Wait till your supplier has drop shipping.
- I would wait until dropshipping becomes available. Yes, shipping costs are already pretty expensive to begin with, additing it a second times makes items unprofitable or would make your pricing undesirable. The larger worry would also be the wait. If you order an item and then wait 3 days for it to arrive (can sometimes be 9), then turn that order around to the customer with the same wait time, they will go else where. Since dropshippers are also expensive both on cost and shipping, I would check EBay and Liquidation.com for wholesale lots of the same merchandise to use for specials. Again be careful here too, because merchandise quality and cost can vary substantially.
