Has anyone can give me suggestion about Dropshipping wholesale?

I need to make extra income from home. I just want to try to sell something in ebay/amazon. And I found that many wholesale dropshipping company out there. Which one is really legit? I already read about doba, and world wide brand. Has anyone have experience with this kind of bussiness and want to share with me? Thanks before.

1. DO NOT pay for a list of wholesalers or membership fees for dropshipping theres many places online that say they'll give you a list for a fee. with a little bit of effort you can find a wholesaler for FREE. whatever product you wish to sell lets say ipod find out who makes the product(the manufacturer), for ipod that would be apple. call apple ask about setting up an account to buy wholesale from them. 95% chance they'll say no. its ok ask them who their wholesaler is, get the contact number/address/fax and ask the wholesaler about buying from them. that wasnt too hard and it was free anyways be prepared to give the wholesaler proof that you are a business; a business card, business license, federal/state tax id, etc..what you didnt think they'd just sell stuff dirt cheap to anyone did you? a real wholesaler MUST have you tax id to sell stuff to you wholesale if they dont they risk losing their business license. so like many of these so called "wholesalers" on the internet that dont ask for it arent really wholesaler they are the middleman so they jack up the price. you want to be the middle man! http://www.entrepreneur.com/startingabusiness/howtoguides/article174010-2.html i called a wholesaler last week and they wouldnt even give me a quote untill i faxed them my business card and tax id the reason i would be a lil skeptical about dropshipping is 1)you arent getting wholesale price. the dropshipper is doing most the work for you(packaging, shipping, etc) and that is costing them more than just selling it in bulk to a retailer to do all that stuff. they gotta make money somehow and they do it buy charging you more than wholesale for the product. 2)you and alot of people on ebay are using it, since you arent buying in bulk you arent getting cheaper rates(the more you buy the cheaper the price per unit). so if you are selling it on ebay and im selling the same thing from the same source on ebay then we are competing against each other and are on an even field. so how are we going to profit? 3)ordering dropshipping theres no guarantees that the supplier has the product in stock so when you sell something then you might have a customer waiting weeks to get their item. needless to say this will hurt your business with negative feedbacks. remember the dropshipper dont care about your profits they care about their own. however the advantages of a dropshipper if you somehow manage to make a profit out of the competitive ebay market are 1)packaging, shipping, and store is taken care of for you. 2)no cost upfront you order what you sold off ebay. the money the ebay person gave you pays for the product the rest you pocket. compared to buying wholesale you need money 1st to buy the product. i personally would try to save up money and buy items from a wholesaler and store it in an extra room or a garage of where you live(if possible). you'll see better profits. heres what you should do find whatever you want to sell and see what is the average rate its going for on ebay. now contact the wholesaler and see how many units you would have to order to be able to sell it at that average price or slightly lower and still make a profit. save up the money or maybe try to get a loan and buy that many wholesale. then sell on ebay. after you make a bunch of money give me 10% of your profit since i helped you
2. Most of the big "Drop shipping" warehouses are ripoffs. Their prices are too high, almost everyone is selling the same products for less on eBay and Amazon. They charge you for the "privilage" to sell their products. The lists of drop shippers you can buy, are outdated, and usually fill with crappy get rich quick ads, and stuff that nobody can sell. Don't waste your time, come up with your own product.
